Washing Machine is tearing my clothes

Washing Machine is tearing my clothes

When your washing machine is marking or tearing your clothes it is usually caused by one of two faults:

  • Check the Drum for rough edges. You can do this by using tissue paper to rub against the inner surface of the Drum. If the tissue paper tears, it’s a sharp that causes it.

  • The front drum felt or, front felt as it’s known in the trade. It’s used to support the front of the tumble dryer drum as it rotates. A simple system and very effective. If you’re getting a scratching noise in your tumble dryer this is a good place to start looking.

If this seal is worn or torn the clothes in the drum may get caught and torn in the space between the front housing and the front lip of the DrumReplace if Faulty.
